Easily accessible alpine inn without alpine aspirations. Sunny south-facing terrace with a wonderful view of the mountains. Also very suitable for children. Self-service catering, hearty food.

The view is still beautiful, everything else has lost its appeal and quality due to mass tourism. No recession written for years because it was so nice and cozy. There were only hikers there. Today they drive up their cars and stand with ballerinas in front of the passage towards the toilet and are afraid of getting their shoes dirty 🤦‍♀️ 15 meter long queues (yes, also through distance regulation) to behind the playground and tourists from everywhere. Stand next to Austrians and hamburgers. Of course you treat everyone to it but the charm is gone and you have the feeling that the poor innkeepers can't keep up. Despite everything, the staff is always friendly! The cakes a stunner 😋 The meat patties were unfortunately quite bland and the Kasspatzen not the taste experience either. But I can understand it well with the onslaught. The small children have great fun in the playground and behind the house those looking for peace and quiet sit and lie. Good selection of drinks (including Bionade).

I like what this family business has setup. They run the farm and the restaurant, with typical for the region good and fair prices. In addition to Bavarian sausages and spetzle etc they also have pies. Food is reasonable on salt (good for them), making it a good stop for the routes in Taubenberg.

Very good food, friendly service and a beautiful area. You cannot pay by card but you can use PayPal.

Perfect location for that two stars. Gastronomy catastrophic Viennese without taste Pretzels without taste too dry, sausage salad tasted completely wrong, cappuccino and latte macchiato were ok. Toilets are like a pigsty.

The people there are super nice. The view is fantastic. The food was ok the cake unfortunately ... well But just because of the view you have to be there. 😍

Nice beer garden and good local food

Great stop on the hike, really quaint. You should take part. You pay at the entrance you get a bin and then you are called in the corridor, is ok but the escorts should already take a table outside.

Tip! In the middle of nature, children, cyclists welcome, stable with animals next door, food was good. Fair prices, relaxed friendly staff. Homemade cakes.

Stunning area! We celebrated a friends birthday in the area and it was such a fun day. You can hike, there’s a kids playground, Biergarten/restaurant with a view and animals to say hello to. Worth a visit in the beautiful weather

Great destination. By bike or on foot. The Gasthof Taubenberg enjoys a scenic location in a wonderful area and the view of the surrounding mountains is awesome. Food is kept in very generous portions. In the inn srlbst self-service is announced. Prices are ok for a mountain inn. A trip here is definitely worth it.

Very good for anything you could ask for and want in such a place : scenery, animals, beer garden, food, a good walk, cake, coffee... Run by a whole, hearty family to their best effort beside running a farm. Watch for opening hours on their website, though.

Nice stop, especially for families. Get electricity for your bike there. Decent prices.

Ate there today. Excellent locally sourced organic menu and homemade drinks. Reasonable prices and an amazing view from the beer garden.
